Please Note

At Umg’iwa Safaris, ethical and responsible bowhunting begins with using equipment that is appropriately matched to the intended game. All bows and arrows must meet the minimum kinetic energy and arrow-weight requirements for the species being hunted. Minimum requirements are 35 ft-lbs KE and 300 grains for small game, 50 ft-lbs and 400 grains for medium game, 60 ft-lbs and 500 grains for large game, and 80 ft-lbs and 750 grains for dangerous game. Hunters should arrive with a properly tuned bow, suitable broadheads, correctly spined arrows, and reliable accessories. Equipment may be inspected before the hunt to confirm suitability, safety, and compliance with applicable hunting regulations.
